Ceramics Workshop

Sat 4th November 2017 (10am – 12pm)

This is a brand new Running With Scissors crafting opportunity. Why not have a go at creating ceramic gifts and accessories in our morning workshop? Natalie of upsydaisycraft is joining the Running With Scissors team and bring with her creative inspiration, knowhow and years of craft workshop experience. She creates and sells her brooches, decorations, coasters and larger items in markets around Sheffield and in this workshop will help you create some of your own.

Participants will learn to make up to 8 keep sake hanging decorations, buttons or pieces to make into jewellery. Natalie will demonstrate simple and more complex pottery techniques to create pattern and texture using a variety of cutters and stamps- from a vast and varied collection. Please feel free to bring your own textured fabric/stamps and cutters to create more creative opportunities.

As the pieces dry, we will glaze them in a variety of colours. Natalie will then take the finished pieces to be fired and they will be returned to Hagglers Corner ready for collection in 2 weeks.
