In this fun two hour workshop we design and machine stitch Valentines, birthday or other personalised greetings cards. They are all unique products that the recipient will love. We provide recycled card blanks and invite you to bring along any paper or card based images which say something about your special person. We will cut these out and sew them onto blank cards, along with embellishments and your personalised message, which we print out on the evening. Sewing into card is really satisfying and produces great results. Let’s get the creative ideas flowing and enjoy the fact we are being “green” whist spreading the love.
The best cards say something about your partner or other recipient, so here’s some suggested paper/card items to bring along:
– Food packaging eg pizza boxes
– Leaflets or maps of favourite places
– Tickets from events you’ve been to
– Hobby magazines
– Letters, poems, song lyrics
Just bear in mind that anything you bring will be cut up so I’d suggest that you photocopy anything precious.
During the evening you will have time to make at least three cards.
The workshop is run by Sally, the expert Upcycling tutor from Threaddit. She has lots of inspirational ideas on hand to get your creative juices flowing. You can also enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits whilst you ponder on your creations.
