Crochet for Beginners

About this Workshop:

A workshop for all you budding crochet crafters, this is a really popular craft at the moment. Our experienced tutor Laura will guide you through the basics such as chain stitch as well as single, double and treble crochet stitches. There will be time to have a practice (and plenty of tea) and then you will be able to create this cute little pouch - perfect for your i-pod, mobile phone or those little nic-naks that end up at the bottom of your bag. The pouch can be created with just one stitch or a variety of stitches, whatever you fell comfortable with. Laura will also explain how to read a simple crochet pattern. If you get hooked (so to speak) Laura can also show you how to add beads and other techniques to make your project even more special! There will also be the opportunity to have a look at some of Laura's work and lots of other inspiring resources to give you lots of ideas for future projects.

Included in the price is a crochet hook and lots of choice of funky coloured yarn to mix and match. You will also have a handy little booklet to take home as a reminder of the stitches.
