Are you new to patchwork and quilting? Do you have have lots of experience but want to expand your repertoire of techniques? Do you fancy spending a weekend working on a project at your own pace with qualified expert tuition? If the answer is “yes” to any of these questions, then you will love this weekend workshop.
Patchwork is a versatile and fun way to re-love fabrics you already have or be creative with gorgeous new printed patterns. Quilting involves layering fabrics with wadding and can be a lovely way to make patterns with stitches with or without patchwork. These two sewing techniques will be covered in detail during this relaxed and creative weekend with expert tutor Helen.
The workshop can be tailored to your taste by allowing you to choose between different styles and shapes of patchwork. This can be simple for those with less experience or can use complex shapes for those want to go further. We will look at how to professionally deal with seams inside blankets as well as different types of wadding and quilting methods.
Our photographs showing previous work are not staged, professional shots but real creations and a realistic depiction of what you will be able to achieve.
