Graphgans are a crochet technique where the work created is based on a photograph or drawing. This allows you to create highly personalised peices of work to be used as blankets, wall hangings or maybe framed work.

As you can see from the photo above, our experienced crochet teacher Laura, was asked to make one of Toby Foster, for the BBC Radio Sheffield Breakfast Show!

This introductory session will give you all the basic skills to get going. The workshop will include:
– creating the Graphgan pattern,
– organising the colours of yarn,
– crocheting colour changes
– following the pattern
– lots of crochet tips.

You should be able to complete basic crochet stitches before enrolling on the course e.g. double crochet. If you are not yet a crocheter, why not have a look at our Crochet for Beginners workshop instead.

All materials are provided to create a practise project on the day. We will help make your pattern for your personalised project. All this as well as friendly chat, hot drinks and all the biscuits you like.
