Learn to make new curtains for a snip of the price of ready made ones. You will be able to create curtains in your exact choice of material to compliment your room precisely. In this workshop you will make a simple mini-curtain to get to grips with the techniques so you can make your own curtains at home. The mini-curtain will be lined and will incorporate a standard ‘header tape’ (the bit on the curtain that attaches to your curtain rail). We will also have a look at some different techniques for attaching your curtain to the rail or pole. We will show you how to measure your window and calculate how much material you will need and consider issues such as pattern matching for that professional finish.

There are six Running With Scissors machines available to use at the workshop, however you can bring your own if you wish. Please note that if you bring your own machine it will be up to you to make sure that it is in good working order and is safe to use. Running with Scissors can not take responsibility for use of machines other than our own.

Please indicate on your booking form / e-mail if you wish to use one of our machines or if you are bringing your own.
