A creative stitch workshop, ideal for anyone who would like learn or develop their existing embroidery skills.
You will create your own design, framed in a display hoop. All materials are included in the workshop price. Our experienced tutor Helen will be able to provide lots of ideas, patterns and inspiration. She is an experienced mixed media artist and teacher who will provide you with supportive, friendly tuition as well hot drinks and biscuits as you craft.
Suitable for all abilities. You only need to be able to thread a needle to enjoy this workshop. Suitable for 14yrs+.
During the workshop you will learn lots of transferable skills. These include:
• appliqué
• using an embroidery hoop
• following a pattern placement diagram
• hand embroidery, such as running, French knots, and lazy daisy stitches
• embellishing with beads
• framing your work using an embroidery hoop
