Ever wanted to knit but don’t know how to start? If you’ve ever tried to follow knitting instructions and got in a muddle then this is the workshop for you. Our tutor Fran will guide you through the basics.

Techniques covered in the workshop will be casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch and casting off. Enough to get you started on a simple knitting project! Once you have got to grips with the basics then you can make a funky knitted bangle. This will be made by following a basic pattern (there will be lots of help on the day) so you will learn how to read a knitting pattern too! Wool and a pair of needles suitable for beginners are included in the price of the workshop so you can carry on knitting at home. You will also be able to take home notes on what has been covered in the workshop, along with suggestions for getting further help with your knitting.
