Ever wanted to get involved in some traditional crafting? Nalbinding is one of the oldest textile techniques, with examples dating from 6500bc.
The method uses a blunt flat needle to weave threads together across the thumb. The fabrics made do not unravel like knitting or crochet.
This workshop will introduce you to the technique, the basic stitches, joining new threads and methods to shape your garments. There is no need for any experience, we start from the beginning. You will work on a hat project during the workshop. All materials are provided. You will get your own nalbinding needle to take home and carry on enjoying your new crafting skills.
