Pattern Drafting – Make Your Made to Measure Shirt Pattern
Learn to customise a basic shirt pattern to your own (or someone else’s) measurements.
Altering a pattern isn’t as easy as you might think, since adding a bit on one piece often has knock-on effects on another. We will learn about general shirt construction and how to move pattern edges around without sending the whole thing wonky. We’ll also look at darts, to help accommodate curvy figures, and variations in things like sleeves, cuffs and collars.
If you want to learn to professionally assemble and sew the shirt, this can be done on the sister workshop ‘Shirt in A Day’. Email to receive a £20 discount on booking these two workshops together (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The workshop is lead by our seamstress and experienced tutor Grace. You are sure to pick up lots of useful tips as well as enjoying a friendly day of creating, creating and plenty of hot drinks.
