Eco Dying

Description

Eco dying involves the use of natural plant materials to colour fabric. Come alone and harness nature to produce eco friendly, economical and natural colour for your sewing projects.

The basic principle of eco printing is that various leaves and plant material possess tannins which have the ability to print permanent colour onto fabric. You will learn which leaves work well and how to gain clear prints.

During this introduction day we will use several plants, look at different mordants, methods and cover all the information to get you started on your eco dying and printing journey.

You will go home with lots of “recipes”, samples and an eco-print bundle to unwrap later at home. You will have a t-shirt, plus bag to take home. Create your own designs, for truly personal fashion or home décor.
