Introduction To Spinning

Ever fancied having a go on a spinning wheel? Do you want to know what a niddy noddy is or how to use an Andern tool? If so then this session is for you. Join us to get a taster of the equipment and techniques needed to create your own yarn.

During the short session we look at how to card fleece in preparation for spinning. Then you can try out three different styles of spinning wheel to find out which one suits you. You will learn about tension for spinning and two ways to ply your yarn.

This will be a small group, relaxed session with plenty of hot drinks and biscuits.
