All you need to get going on sewing!

Learn the basics such as getting thread on the bobbin, loading the bobbin, threading the machine and straight and zig-zag stitches, pinning, hemming, dress making seams and applique.
After getting to know your machine you will be able to make a cushion cover with an envelope back (which has no zips and no buttons) to take home and show all your friends. Also covered in the workshop are techniques to stop your stitches unraveling, how to stop your fabric fraying, as well as creating a 1.5cm dress making seams and assembling the project.

This is an ideal workshop if you are thinking about buying a machine or already have a machine and are not sure how to use it. If you are starting from scratch or last used a machine at school then this is the workshop for you.
